Community Service: Kitchen Projects to Feed Those in Need

Kick off the new academic year by giving back to the NYC community! Join One To World for our first volunteer event of the year as we spend time in the kitchen at God’s Love We Deliver.
At this event, you’ll work alongside fellow international students and local New Yorkers in a commercial kitchen to help prepare and package high-quality meals for people who are unable to shop or cook for themselves. Experience the efficiency of an assembly line, the impact of teamwork, and the power of coming together for a common goal! No cooking experience is necessary. Just come ready to lend a hand.
About God’s Love We Deliver
God’s Love We Deliver cooks and home-delivers nutritious, medically tailored meals to people living with serious illness who are unable to shop or cook for themselves. Their services are provided free of charge and with care to New Yorkers in need.
During our shift, we’ll work alongside the organization’s staff and chefs on whatever projects are needed that day. Tasks may include packaging meals, chopping vegetables, making meatballs, ladling soup, peeling potatoes, portioning baked goods, or preparing fresh herbs.
This is a great opportunity to give back, meet new people, and experience a different side of New York City while making a meaningful impact in the local community.
