“Cultural Cuisine is a great opportunity to socialize with other students
from different nationalities, academic backgrounds and universities, as well as
experience unfamiliar cuisines and their significance.” – Student from Iran
Our first Cultural Cuisine of 2020 will take us to South America for some tasty Venezuelan dishes! Venezuela is known for having a rich cultural history that’s been shaped by American Indian, Spanish, African, Italian, Portuguese, Arab, German, and South American influences. Since the cultural history is so diverse it's no surprise that so is the country's food. Let's start the New Year off right, by making new friends and sharing a delicious meal, at the Caracas Arepa Bar in Brooklyn on Thursday, January 30th!
