On our next Cultural Cuisine we take a refreshing culinary trip to South America to enjoy the delicious flavors of Brazil! Brazilian cooking is characterized by African, European, and Amerindian influences, reflecting the influence of native and immigrant populations. Join us for dinner at Casa Restaurant, located in Manhattan's West Village, which has been around for 20 years! Our meal will feature many popular and traditional Brazilian dishes. Don't miss this chance to try Brazilian home cooking with your fellow international students!

This menu has been specifically designed for One To World guests. 

Appetizers (Family Style)
- Cestinha de Pão de Queijo (vegetarian):
 Baskets of gluten-free farm cheese bread

Entrees (Family Style)
- Moqueca de Frutos do Mar com Forafa de Dendê: Seafood stew with squid, shrimp, and wild fish of the day, cooked with coconut milk, cilantro, tomatoes, and "dendê" palm oil served with toasted yuca flour
- Feijoada (Brazilian national dish): Black bean stew with beef served with white rice, fresh oranges, collard greens, tomato, onion vinaigrette, and farofa (toasted yuca flour with bacon)
- Bife Acebolado: Thin pan-fried steak with onions served with white rice, beans, farofa (toasted yuca flour with bacon), tomato, onion vinaigrette, and fries
- Prato Vegetariano (vegetarian): Sauteed collard greens, zucchini, okra, and chayote, served with rice and beans

Dessert (Choose One)
- Manjar Branco: Coconut pudding with plum sauce
- Mousse de Maracujá: Passion fruit mousse
