Cultural Cuisine: Chinese/Indian Fusion

Event Details

Date: 06/05/17 Cost: $25 Time: 6:30 PM Location: Brooklyn

For our last Cultural Cuisine dinner of the academic year, we are trying something new: a restaurant that blends the food of two different countries into one completely unique experience! Come join us at The Chinese Club, a new restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, that offers a delicious fusion of Indian and Chinese flavors. The owners of the restaurant have agreed to meet our group and talk about the origins of this special restaurant, which was described in The New York Times:

''The family history that has inspired this Chinese-Indian restaurant goes back to the days of the Raj. Stacey Mehta Lo, who owns it with her husband, the chef Salil Mehta, was born in Darjeeling, India, where her great-grandfather ran the Chinese Club, a 'refuge for Chinese expats,' as she put it.''

The menu for the evening is designed especially for our One To World guests.
