Experience an American Easter Celebration! Get a glimpse of life in rural America on this relaxing weekend trip to Pennsylvania. Spend the weekend getting to know your U.S. host family, exploring the local area, and enjoying a family's Christian Easter traditions.
Host Family FAQ:
- We have been working with this community for over 15 years, so the majority of our host families are very experienced, and all of our hosts are passionate about meeting students from around the world and cross-cultural sharing.
- We have a wonderful and dedicated Host Community Coordinator that lives in Lancaster, PA and carefully matches you with a family once you're enrolled. She personally gets to know each of the host families, and gets reference checks on any families that are new to the program.
- Our host families come in all shapes and sizes; some of our hosts are married couples, some have children, some have pets, etc. Their homes also look different, from apartments to farm houses, but all are warm and welcoming. We can promise that you will have your own room and a comfortable bed to sleep in, no matter where you are placed.
- Most of our host families can only accommodate one student at a time, but occasionally hosts can take two or more students. If you would like to be placed with a friend/family member, please contact Marisa before signing up.
Schedule of Events:
Friday: You will meet the group in Manhattan around 8:30 AM and depart for Pennsylvania on a private bus. The ride is approximately 4 hours, so you will be in Lancaster by 1:00 PM where you will be met by your host family. You may participate in Good Friday activities with your family in the afternoon/evening, or you will simply get to know your family for the weekend.
Saturday: Free time with your host family. Every family has something special planned for you while you're there, so you may take a trip to the famous Hershey's Chocolate Factory, join in a fun game of American football, learn about the nearby Amish community, visit some local attractions, or just enjoy each other's company.
Sunday: Attend a local church service in celebration of the Easter holiday and enjoy lunch with your host family. You will then depart as a group from Lancaster around 3:00 PM and arrive back to NYC between 7:00 PM & 8:00 PM.

Registration Deadline: Sunday, March 26th
Location: Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. We will travel as a group from NYC. Additional details will be given closer to the date of the program.
